Elvis Cukon was born in Pula. He attended primary school in Medulin and secondary school in Pula. He graduated from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture, University of Zagreb, the course of Process Energy. In 2018, he graduated from the Faculty of Economics, University of Zagreb with a postgraduate course in Business Administration - MBA. He is a certified mechanical engineer and a member of the Croatian Chamber of Mechanical Engineers.
Since 2005, he has been employed at EKONERG - Energy Research and Environmental Protection Institute Ltd. Until his promotion to the position of CEO, he held the position of deputy CEO of EKONERG - Energy Research and Environmental Protection Institute Ltd., and before that, deputy manager of the Design Department in that company. He was in charge of leading and managing the Company's strategic projects, business acquisition, work process management and short- and medium-term planning in cooperation with the CEO.
He led the preparation, design and construction of a number of projects in the field of energy, process and pharmaceutical industry, such as: Rockwool stone wool factory in Istria, Greenfield project of new multi-purpose synthesis SM2 for client Pliva, Factory of solid, semi-solid and liquid medicines for client BELUPO d.d., Process plants in the oil and gas industry for clients INA, JANAF, Plinacro, Schell.
A project to point out among the most recent ones is management of consulting and designing services in the project: Receiving terminal for liquefied natural gas on the island of Krk.
