Our qualities are interdisciplinary and delivery of comprehensive solutions for sustainable development. EKONERG operates in the field of energy and communal infrastructure and industry and covers the entire service cycle from an idea of building a facility, preparing the construction (feasibility studies and cost and benefit analyses, location selection, designing) to managing construction, maintenance and asset management and making environmental impact assessments. EKONERG has participated in the largest energy projects in the Republic of Croatia and participates in the development of the Republic of Croatia by developing a number of strategic documents in the field of energy, environment protection and climate changes. In the field of environmental protection we have three departments: Environmental Protection and Sustainable Development, Atmospheric Protection and Climate Change Department, Measurement and Analytics Laboratory.

EKONERG is a legal successor of the Institute for Electricity Industry, which was founded in 1953. EKONERG was founded in 1992 as an independent company through the privatization process, whereby employees are shareholders.

Some of our business qualities:
- EKONERG has three accredited laboratories: a testing laboratory, a calibration laboratory and a performance testing services accreditation. Besides Ekonerg, there is just one other company in the EU that has all these three laboratories accredited.
- EKONERG has certificates and work experience for the most demanding technical systems, including nuclear safety -related systems. We are accredited for projects related to designing and supervision, the development of studies for nuclear power plants, with more than 35 years of experience in services to the Nuclear Power Plant Krško which is among the world highest -ranking power plants in its availability.
- EKONERG performs design and consultancy services for all Croatian thermal power plants, in overall more than 2500 MWe
- EKONERG performs lifetime assesment and revitalization concept for thermal power plants with conceptual design and technical specifications for reconstruction/upgrading/revitalization
- EKONERG is a company that with its own staff fully covers the overall services during lifetime of power and industrial plants starting from development, construction, trial run and maintenance of power and industrial plants.
- EKONERG developed an information system for asset management implemented in a number of public and private companies. We developed a system for energy management in building construction (ISGE) with application in public buildings supervised by the Croatian Agency for State Property Management, as well as application in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Turkey, Russia and Malaysia.
